Kosmatology

Founded by Pharmacist, Dr. Janis Covey, Kosmatology was created after Janis' first born child, at only a few months old, had developed eczema. After being prescribed steroids for her child, Janis knew it was only a temporary fix and set out to research the skin condition further and look into natural alternatives. She ultimately developed what is now known as the Goody-Goody Grapefruit Lotion bar, which cured her daughter's eczema, and her daughter has been eczema-free for the past five years. Lotion bars are free of preservatives, which tend to irritate already sensitive skin. What they do contain is shea butter and olive oil to moisturize and soothe the skin, candelilla wax to create a protective barrier and essential oils to calm and sooth irritated skin. After developing the lotion bars, Janis also created foaming hand soaps and more.
