This gives good lift even for my fine and thin hair. I find that using a dry shampoo (I use Captain Blankenship's) prior to application is best for my hair to get a bigger lift that lasts longer. It seems like using less product on somewhat damp hair to work it through the roots where I need a boost is better than using a lot of product on dry hair. A pump (or possibly two) is enough for the whole crown of my head. I set it with the hair dryer, lifting hair up with a brush for optimum lift. I used the trial size first and it lasted a reallly long time for me but I don't use it every day. I like it so much I went ahead and got the big bottle this time which will probably get me through a year.
